From May 4 to 7, 2025, ASIA ALLIANCE BANK participated in the annual meeting of the Board of Governors of the Asian Development Bank (ADB), held in the heart of Italy – the magnificent city of Milan. The event served as a major platform for global dialogue, bringing together leading international experts to discuss key challenges and development prospects for the Asia-Pacific region.

The ADB Annual Meeting is one of the most significant events, uniting finance ministers, central bank governors, senior government officials, representatives of the private sector, and international organizations.

The central theme of the forum was sustainable economic growth and the strengthening of social development in the region. For many years, ADB has been a strategic partner of Uzbekistan, making a substantial contribution to the advancement of environmental initiatives and the development of entrepreneurship.

ASIA ALLIANCE BANK's fruitful cooperation with ADB began in 2020. Since then, the bank has actively participated in trade finance projects and currently holds an active trade finance limit under ADB’s guarantee program in the amount of USD 10 million, which opens up wide opportunities for business development.

On the sidelines of the ADB Board of Governors meeting in Milan, the bank’s representatives held productive meetings with more than twenty leading international financial institutions, focusing their efforts on expanding opportunities for further cooperation and identifying new promising areas. A key outcome was successful negotiations with ADB representatives, resulting in an agreement to deepen collaboration between the banks, including ASIA ALLIANCE BANK's inclusion in a long-term financing program for small businesses, as well as joint support for “green” economy projects in Uzbekistan through the allocation of resources aimed at sustainable development.

Special attention was given to negotiations with esteemed institutions such as Frontclear (Netherlands), Export-Import Bank of India (India), OYAK ANKER Bank GmbH, Oddo BHF, KFW IPEX-Bank (Germany), UniCredit SPA (Italy), Banco Comercial Portugues (Portugal), RBI AG (Austria), Hayat Finans Katılım Bankası A.S. (Turkey), and Bank of Georgia (Georgia). Meetings with representatives of Bank of Huzhou (China) and Banca Popolare di Sondrio (Italy) marked important steps in expanding partnership ties and developing cooperation in the area of trade finance.

Additionally, during the forum, ASIA ALLIANCE BANK concluded agreements with Bank of Georgia (Georgia), as well as a Memorandum of Cooperation with RBI AG (Austria), which will expand banking cooperation in trade finance, enabling support for the bank’s clients through new lending products. A symbol of the first step in establishing cooperation was the signing of an agreement with Crédit Agricole Italia S.p.A. (Italy). These agreements open new opportunities for the bank, strengthening its position on the international financial stage.

Participation in the 2025 ADB Board of Governors Meeting in Milan marked an important milestone for ASIA ALLIANCE BANK in expanding international cooperation, improving trade and financial relations, and strengthening partnerships with leading global financial institutions. The bank continues to actively grow its international partnership network, enhance trade and financial ties, and support the sustainable economic growth of Uzbekistan by implementing innovative and environmentally responsible projects and offering new solutions for financial and trade collaboration.
