Asia Alliance Bank and Economic Empowerment Fund for Uzbekistan (EEFU) announced the allocation of a $10 million credit line.

The agreement was signed at the Bank’s headquarters by Umid Abdazimov, Chairman of the Management Board of Asia Alliance Bank, and Armands Fomitsevs, EEFU Director for the South Caucasus & Central Asia region. 

Key points of the partnership: 
Objective: The funds will be used to support entrepreneurs and SME projects in accordance with the principles of Islamic finance.
About EEFU: The fund, with a capital of $100 million, was established by the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan in collaboration with the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) and a group of Saudi investors.
Benefits for businesses: The bank’s clients will gain access to modern tools for scaling up, creating jobs, and achieving sustainable development.
