The history of LBBW originates from 1818. The bank was founded in 1999 by merging of SudwestLB, Landesgirokasse and Commercial Bank L-Bank. In July 2008, Rheinland-Pfalz has also merged into the formed group of LBBW.

As a result, LBBW has become one of the largest and most progressive banks in Germany. Its Head office is located in Stuttgart, the total number of employees constitutes 11.000 people. The bank has 200 branches and service points on the territory of Germany and 24 more in other countries. It also has a widest correspondent network of 2,800 banks worldwide.

The Bank’s main types of activity are trade financing, attraction of deposits, maintaining the clients’ accounts, provision of loans and guaranties, performing operations with securities and foreign currency.
