Symbiotics Investments has arranged a USD 4,500,000 loan facility for ASIA ALLIANCE BANK.

2023 was fruitful for ASIA ALLIANCE BANK and was marked by a number of successfully implemented projects with international financial institutions, which contributed to the growth of the bank’s status among foreign partners and strengthening of its leading position in the local market. The end of the year was marked by starting a new partnership with a Swiss company Symbiotics Investments.

At the beginning of 2024, taking into account the growing interest and financing needs of clients, Symbiotics Investments has arranged a loan facility to finance micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) in the Republic of Uzbekistan in the local currency equivalent of USD 4,500,000. This facility is funded through the issuance of a bond via Symbiotics Investments sponsored bond issuance platform (Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises Bonds S.A.) domiciled in Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. The proceeds are to be fully used towards a 2-year tenor, senior unsecured loan facility to ASIA ALLIANCE BANK.

The significance of this event for the bank lies in attracting one of the first resources in national currency from foreign financial institutions and the possibility of providing financing to small and medium-sized businesses and micro-enterprises for the implementation of their projects on attractive terms.

In turn, this transaction opens the way to expanding the capabilities of ASIA ALLIANCE BANK in integration with other international financial institutions and stimulating the growth of types of financing offered by the bank for its clients, and also makes a reliable contribution to improving the investment environment and the growth of the country’s economy.
